A retreat creates a sacred space
for those who desire
to vision, heal,
reflect and be nurtured
as their path with God
is deepened.
What is a Retreat?
A Retreat is a time away from the routine of everyday life
and takes place at a retreat center or camping facility. Retreats are
offered in a variety of forms. You may design a personal retreat,
attend a Focused Theme retreat with others or go on a retreat with a
group from your own congregation.
- How long is a Retreat?
Retreats vary in time from a few hours to several days.
Friday/Saturday, Saturday/Sunday and Friday-Sunday are the most common
time frames.
- “I attended a spiritual retreat that was organized and facilitated by Elaine. It was a total success for me personally: She chose a conducive geographical location. Her choice of accommodations was affordable and provided ample room for us all. She planned each day to include stimulating experiences followed by group sharing. There was ample quiet time and opportunities to get healing interventions.
Her approach to spiritual coaching is sensitive, intelligent and deeply effective. I am grateful to have had additional opportunities to interact with Elaine and am always influenced and moved by her unique commitment to living a spiritual life and to helping others find the way on their own spiritual journeys. ” Georgene Ollerenshaw, 2005
"The "A Journey with God" women's retreat was probably the most restful and refreshing retreat to which I have ever been! It was a very balanced blend of contemplation, prayer, music, discussion, sharing, creating, considering, and eating, along with valuable opportunities for a Reiki session. And it was such fun!" Karen Sturms, 2005
